Students will review advanced soil/water plant relationships, advanced scheduling, system uniformity and efficiency details, pumps, job safety requirements, national codes affecting our industry, and water conservation. This class is designed to prepare students for the Irrigation Association Certified Irrigation Contractor (CIC) exam, focusing on the key areas contractors typically struggle with when preparing for the CIC exam. Maxicom Hardware Level 2 Short Course
This class is for contractors/operators engaged in Central Control irrigation using flow sensors, rain gauges and their associated pulse decoders. This class will also cover the troubleshooting and maintenance/upkeep required for the WS-PRO Weather Station. Additional field work will include tracking and pin-pointing ground faults in the two-wire communication path and valve wires, conducting a CADWELD and measuring earth ground resistance on grounding rods.

Special attention is given to the effective use of water in the landscape. Day Two Devoted to irrigation system troubleshooting. Different problem scenarios are covered from symptoms and possible causes to investigation and ultimately, resolution. Controller programming, electrical troubleshooting, valve and head troubleshooting are a few of the topics examined in great detail.
