Residential Controller Technician
This course offers the irrigation contractor the solution to a water-efficient residential irrigation system control. Rain Bird’s residential and light commercial controller line contain the features necessary to efficiently irrigate a property with minimal ongoing changes, i.e. you spend less time on the customer’s property. This class will cover programming techniques of three different Rain Bird res/com controller products: ESP-TM2, ESP-Me, and LNK WiFi Stick. This class will also cover basic troubleshooting techniques for traditionally wired irrigation controllers.
Electrical Troubleshooting for Irrigation Systems
Students will be introduced to the basics of electricity and how it applies to irrigation systems. Multi-meters will be utilized in taking voltage and resistance measurements in class. Typical irrigation system electrical discrepancies will be presented with possible causes and solutions in addition to tracking buried wires and valves and isolating wire faults. ESP-LX (Series) Operator - Part 1
This training will teach students how to program and operate the Rain Bird ESP-LX Series of controllers using features such as Flow Manager™, Flow Watch™ and Simulstations™ as well as using diagnostic functions to troubleshoot system discrepancies.
This class will introduce students to decoder systems in general, design principles, and installation techniques. Additional emphasis is given to grounding techniques and using a simple decoder system setup for hands-on operation and troubleshooting common decoder system faults.
IQ v3.0 Cloud Operator
This training introduces the IQ v3.0 Cloud Central Control Software system software and its primary functions related to basic and advanced irrigation operation, monitoring, programming and reporting. Programming complexity is equal to that of a stand-alone irrigation controller program.
IQ v3.0 Cloud Technician
This training introduces and defines the role of the IQ™v3.0 system hardware components working with the IQ v3.0 Cloud operating platform. Hands on installation activities include communication between the IQ v3.0 Cloud and select IQ-NCC Network Communication Cartridges.
